Lasted about one year.Oct 19, 2010
By Bernard Weiss After mold removal with an oxygen bleach (CorteClean) on a composite Trex deck , I applied 2 coats of Moldex on most of deck and 3 coats in one test patch. The latter resulted in a reflective surface accumulation. In both cases waterproofing (beading of surface water) lasted about one year, and the mold reappeared during that time despite a local drought. The product claims "up to" 4 years of protection, whatever that means. The mold prevention was no better than I had obtained previously with an oxygen bleach alone.

No Mold PreventionMay 29, 2011
By Al R. After using a 25% solution of bleach and water, which removed the mildew, I applied a coat of Moldex preventor to the entire deck including railings, ballastors, flooring, etc. The mildew returned over a two to three month period. I again removed the mildew with the bleach/water solution and applied another coat to the everything except the floor, which received two more coats. The deck was OK over the past winter but now (5/29/11) the deck is covered with mildew again. Four years of protection is a distant dream. This may be eco-friendly, but only for the survival of mildew. What an expensive mistake this product is!!!!!
4 Years - YesAug 20, 2012
By KenW I have a PT deck in a location that is very conducive to the growth of mold. I was treating it every year until I tried this product. I put on two coats and it lasted 4 years easily. It's now been five years without any further treatment, and the wood now looks bare, but still no mold or fungus. I'm about to put down another 2 coats. A great product.
